'Learn To Play Slipknot' Instructional DVD Available

March 9, 2012

Lick Library has launched "Learn To Play Slipknot" with nearly three hours of guitars lessons explained to you by the super shredder himself, Andy James. This double DVD features the best riffs and solos from the American band famed for its energetic live performances.

Using his incredible technical knowhow and sense of melody, Andy clearly demonstrates how you can explore the very different playing techniques of Nick Thompson and Jim Root. The split screen guitar lesson illustrates what both of Andy's hands are doing as he takes you through each riff and solo note for note at slow, medium and up to tempo pace.

"Learn To Play Slipknot" takes five Grammy-nominated/winning tracks for "Best Metal Performance," covering the seven year period to 2008. From the second album, "Iowa", comes the melodic "Left Behind", then from the third album, "The Subliminal Verse", Andy explores the alternate metal style of "Duality" and the guitar riffs of "Before I Forget", which were based on elements of an earlier song "Carve". Andy then moves on to breakdown the pounding groove of "Psychosocial" and the melody and accessibility of "Dead Memories", from the fourth album "All Hope Is Gone", to show the full diversity of SLIPKNOT.

This and the "Slipknot Jam Trax" are available from www.licklibrary.com.
